  • Actual rating 3.5 5 starsThis book was engaging than I thought I really enjoyed the writing style and the way the plot unfolds Unfortunately, again the ending was too abrupt for my liking, but otherwise, I am eager to continue with the series and to see where it ll go.

  • It was nice as a quick introduction to characters and world building, obviously there is an attraction between the two POV S i think the story looks very interesting and what a cliffhanger ger

  • AudiobookNarration Meghan Kelly I didn t care for the narration I love Meghan s voice, but she is not a character actor My suggestion to Meghan, if she were ever to read one of my reviews lol would be to get back to the basics Tell the story and don t try to create all of these character voices, because right now, you can t But your voice is lovely, so just drop the pitch a bit for your male characters and change pitch for your females but don t try to turn each one into a caricature The charact [...]

  • Left hangingWell, this was rather disappointinge story leaves you hanging at the end It read okay, although a little better editing couldn t hurt But there was no real pull to continue.

  • Although this was quite a short read, this has been my favourite work by this writer The characters still don t seem to have much depth to them, but the plot line seems to have been carefully thought out It seems to be a slight spin off from the Roamers series, but stands well enough by itself The story moves along at a good pace, and the ending is quite climatic, and a good hook to get people reading the next book in the series.

  • That was the whole thing It seemed like a teaserwhen you get to read the first 2 chapters before buying the book.It was interestingbut I really need to decide if I like it or not It was just the beginning set up.

  • This book is interesting then I thought it would be, I got the audio version and love the narrator she has an amazing voice, but her male voices are not the best yet, they mostly sound like a girl trying to sound like a guy I do think she does an amazing job with the female voices and has a nice british accent. The plot is really good I love how it builds up smoothly and has a lot going on, lots of twists and turns and a good story linee ending is good but a real cliff hanger. It s worth a read b [...]

  • rThis is the 7th book I read by Kristen Middleton This book started good with Melody missing but Chelsey s attitude when she finds out turns me off Your cousin is missing you act nonchalant about it.

  • I liked it The story and characters were engaging and the story really draws you in However, the ending left a lot to be desired It just leaves you hanging I m dying to see what happens next though, so I ll definitely be reading the next installment

  • A good read I found this lite fantasy romance an enjoyable afternoon escape The characters were exciting with unexpected, terror filled moments that kept the story interesting.

  • Very fast pace and it kept me reading But when I came to the end it was so disappointing not because it was bad but because I didn t have the other book yet A must read.

  • I haven t enjoyed a book this much in ages Fast moving with twists and turns It is a YA, but there s plenty of monsters My kinda vampire story Although I got this one free in a book of stories, I will buying this particular series, as I have to know what pans out.

  • Cannot believe it was that short I hardly got to know the characters before the book ended in a cliffhanger Ridiculous

  • My rating 4.5 starsAudiobook narrator Meghan Kelly rating 4.5 starsI was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review. At first, I took a look at the book cover and was a little worried that I got myself into a cheesy romance novel I was pleasantly surprised This was a fun and short novel that made me think of a blend between Storm Front and Moon Called though much closer to Storm Front than Moon Called, in my opinion The main difference with the book Venom is that the overall main character [...]

  • Venom being with Melody Williams being missing after attending the club Nightshade Chelsey Fairfax started looking into her cousin Melody s disappearance Little did she knows that Venom, a hot European band is playing at the club Meeting Slade, the lead singer of the band, was instant attraction Chelsey didn t think of seeing him again since Venom was just passing through her town Slade and his band Venom was invited to Nightshade to play for the owner of the club However, Nightshade wanted Slad [...]

  • Venom is a sweet little new adult novella that features an eighteen year girl named Chelsey who is looking for her missing cousin who was last seen at a local club called Nightshade When Chelsey and her friend, Susan sneak into the club with fake id s she is surprised when she is offered the chance to meet the band, Venom, lead by lead singer, Slade Slade is as sexy as they come but there appears to be something different about him.Yeah, Slade is a vampire but all is not what it seems in this li [...]

  • I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review I LOVED THIS STORY AND NEED MORE ASAP Venom is a band full of supernatural members They are mostly vamps, but there is a lycan tood that just screams sexy The story starts with Melody dying to hook up with Slade the lead singer of Venome is out for a girls night and does not come home the next dayher cousin Chelsea is concerned about her, so her and her bestie go to the club Melody was at to kind of investigateat s where they [...]

  • I very much enjoyed this first book of the Venom series At just over two hours long it was a quick listen that was over before I knew it.This one is difficult for me to review without giving some spoilers since the book was so fast and so full of hilites However, I will say that Kristen Middleton does an excellent job of setting up what will happen in the rest of the series I find myself caring very much what happens to Melody and Chelsea in the upcoming books.Meghan Kelley does a fine job of na [...]

  • I found this one on the stronger edge of Kristen s writing Venom is a fun book that s light reading great for the beach ladies I think this is area that s been well tred before with Anne Rice s Lestat series and the Sookie Stackhouse novels True Blood TV show Given that it has been a path walked before, I think it gave KM a great path to follow an kept her on target with the story She s definitely improved her editing and layout choices for the book though I still question her cover choice here, [...]

  • Let s fall into the world of Melody and Slade This is a really short read, but with lots of action packed and comedy So we learn that Melody cousin goes missing after going to this club call Nightshade So Melody and her friend Susan decides to go and visit this club to see if she can find her cousin She also gets to meet the band Venom, lead by lead singer Slade There is attraction between them immediately And Slade a vampire including his band mates except for one, which is a werewolf You would [...]

  • This is an exciting and fast moving paranormal read It involves vampires, shifters, and murders A young girl sneaks into a nightclub to see a rock band and turns up missing Suddenly people are turning up dead everywhere This is my first read by this author, Kristen Middleton She does a good job at capturing my interest and I find myself sitting here wondering what happened The narrator, Meghan Kelly delivers this story to us flawlessly using multiple voices and accents and lots of emotions I am [...]

  • The audio version spoiled this story for me.I didn t care for the narration of this book All of the characters, male and female, sounded exactly like Kristin Bauer van Straten s character Pam in the TV show True Blood I found it distracting and annoying The only exception was the main character, Chelsea, who didn t have an accent just as strong as the others. The story itself is quite good, hence the three stars There is plenty of action and excitement It is a very short read and it ends quite ab [...]

  • STORY REVIEW.Good story Interesting, exciting, original, fast paced, compelling, gripping, addictive and unique The dialog is smart, well written and flows smoothly The characters are fascinating, captivating, quirky, engaging and well developed I couldn t stop listening to itDIO REVIEWI found the narrator to be very good at reading the book as well as giving the characters life and voice A well as attitude and humor Received this via audiobookblast in exchange for an unbiased review L.

  • Vampire lustThis is the first part of a trilogy and yes it ends with a cliff hanger However, the book is so good you want to read Kristen has woven a world that seems like the average middle American town Yet there are creatures among us that we humans know nothing about Chelsey goes to a club to find her cousin Melody with her friend Susan All hell breaks loose when the creatures of the night show themselves Sorry no spoilers here Good start to what I hope is a great story I will be reading th [...]

  • First 2 3 Meh, a bunch of teenage girls and their escapades, some poor decision making Eh.Last 1 3 Moral Treat your vampire hookups like desert hiking Tell someone where you re going and when you ll be back Better safe than on the run from murderers with no one to turn to.
