  • There are good cookbooks and then there is this one I really liked this book, every now and then there we find a lot of dessert books about how to make cakes, cookies sweet pies Which is not my thing, I love baking but when it comes to what I enjoy to eat, I like snacking than eating desserts It s nice to learn new methods to make my very own crackers chips, in an original which is also sometimes healthy way and Stop praising Doritos and Pringles This book will always be in the currently reading [...]

  • This one looks better than it plays out The recipes here are difficult and frustrating to follow, even though the how to s themselves actually aren t all that complicated at all The mustard pretzels the reason we took the book out of the library in the first place would have been so much better and would have taken us so much less time had the instructions actually been thorough enough to be a walk though for example, the ingredient list isn t separated into base items and topping basting items [...]

  • One complaint I ve gotten is that while I ll whip up a banquet at the drop of a spatula, snack attacks are met by a bag of chips This book, while inspiring, does not fix the gap in my repertoire There s ingredients beyond even me Half shell oysters with Grapefruit Campari Granita , snacks that take twice as long to cook as dinner Smoked Salmon with Ginger and Black Pepper which you smoke yourself on your grill A few did catch my eye, especially crackers quick breads Bacon Chive Bread with Goat C [...]

  • It s always nice to have cookbooks from authors who live in the same city you do and some of these recipes look delicious However, they re a little dull or unhelpful sometimes As an example, one recipe calls for Asian fish sauce Asia isg And has a lot of different cultures Some of whom have fish sauce Many of whom make it differently

  • I was a little disappointed I thought this book would have delicious recipes for my family s favorite junky salty snacks like chips and pretzels Instead, it mainly consisted on recipes that are sophisticated than my family cares for Good for if you are having a party and want to impress.

  • Okay book I m probably not the targeted audience, seeing that I find storebought crackers and chips perfectly delicious However, what really turned me off was the lack of garlic in Nims quick pickle recipe.

  • Some sounds really tasty I don t deep fry at home so all the chips are out Crackers have great combinations and I never thought about using a pasta machine to roll them out Bake salami till rigid and serve with mustard dipping sauce I may try some of the nuts.

  • Pretty good for what it is lots of cracker recipes A good book for entertaining, with a broad variety of recipes Not practical for everyday, and I m really not sure who would need this many savory snack recipes unless you entertained a lot The two cookie recipes are amazing.

  • I should start by noting that I haven t actually cooked anything from this book yet But if you like to snack, this book has a lot of neat recipes Most of them don t call for extremely outr ingredients, and many of them are vegetarian Though there is a meat section.

  • Mediocre and uninspiring I already make crackers and pretzels from scratch and those recipes were not an upgrade to mine.

  • Full of fun snack ideas I ve really liked the recipes coconut curry rice krispie treats and spicy peanut butter cookies I ve made from this cookbook so far.

  • Nice alternative to dessert books for people who like to make impressive party food Especially strong on crackers, if you dream of making your own crackers.

  • Def trying the soft pretzels and some of the other snacks Not really a crackers person, but did find some interesting ideas in this book.
