    About " Cecilia Samartin "

  • Cecilia Samartin

I was born in Cuba at the height of the revolution My family left when I was nine months old so I have no memories of my own, although I borrowed countless memories from my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins I grew up in a quiet Los Angeles suburb and secretly dreamed of becoming a writer, but after high school I decided to study psychology instead and became a marriage and family therapist I m glad I did because my experience as a therapist is what finally inspired me to face my fears, and embrace my dream of becoming a writer Most of my clients over the years have been immigrants like me so many of my stories reflect the themes of lost homeland, and the search for meaning identity in a new world I think of myself as a story teller than a writer Perhaps because as a story teller it is easier to envision myself engaging in a two way conversation with my readers, much as I do with my clients Nothing is gratifying for me than to receive comments and messages from my readers I learn so much, and it inspires me as nothing else to keep writing.

  • I did really enjoy this book even though i had hoped it would end otherwise.I loved those words that came I was terrible glad that they found each other. But this book can prove how terrible anyone can be, just because of jealousy.

  • First of all, I just want to say thank you to Cecilia Samartin for the experience that this book gave me The story of this book is so amazing, beautiful and touching, I actually have no better words to describe it Therefore, I really don t want to say anything bad about this book, not at all, but in a way I found the ending last 150 200 pages a little bit rushed I don t really know I don t think it could ve been written in another way though Maybe I only felt like that because it happened so muc [...]

  • F r n stan tv r sedan l ste jag f rsta delen i den h r serien och f ll pladask, d var jag v ldigt glad ver att jag redan hade andra delen i hyllan Det tog nd nda till nu innan jag l ste den Lite gr mer det mig att jag l t s mycket tid g mellan b ckerna L s mer p min blogg

  • A true Samartin novel, and a wonderful dive into the world of Se or Peregrino, Rosa and Jamilet It was a beautiful and well written story, but I am a little confused and frustrated about the ending, when the line between fantasy and reality is removed and the reader is left uncertain about which events that actually took place That beeing said, it fulfilled all my wishes for a sequel to Se or Peregrino 3

  • Aivan mielenkiintoinen teos Kahden eri aikakauden ihmisi , espanja, meksiko ja usa yhdist ja useiden ihmisten kohtalo liittyy olennaisesti toisiinsa Espanjalaisen ja mustalaisten kulttuurinkuvaus v rik st ja mielenkiintoista Juoni kypsyy rauhassa aikapalautumisten kautta Syk hdytt v Loppu oli kuitenkin hieman erikoinen, enk ihan tied mit siit ajatella Tarina ilmeisesti jatkuu viel Sit odotellessa.

  • Ihana jatko osa Senor Peregrinolle Samartinille tuttu maaginen realismi n kyi t ss kin, tosin tuota maagisuutta koin t ss kirjassa olevan viel enemm n kuin aiemmissa Espanjalainen mustalaiskulttuuri oli kiehtovasti kuvailtu ja kirjan tunnelma taas upea Loppuratkaisua j in kovasti miettim n, enk oikein tied mit mielt siit olin Hieno kirja kuitenkin

  • Ei voi kuin ihailla sit tarinan imua, jonka Samartin kykenee luomaan Romantiikkaakin vierastavalle lukijalle t st kehkeytyi lukunautinto Lykk sin kirjaan tarttumista, koska se vaikutti ulkonaisesti turhan tiiliskivelt , mutta hujauksessa t m n sitten luki.

  • Petyin t h n sarjan kakkososaan Samartin yritti kulkea maagisen realismin jalanj ljiss , mutta minulle lukukokemus j i vaisuksi ja tarina pelk st n ep uskottavaksi En pid siit , kun jo kirjan alussa n en, mihin sen asklemerkit ovat johtamassa Sujuvalukuista h mpp toki.

  • Kunne v rt bedre med f rre uvesnetlige detajler og en slutt som b rer preg av pr ve finne p noe i all hast.

  • La Peregrina on ollut samaa erinomaista tasoa kuin muutkin Samartinin kirjat Vaikka Rosa onkin kiinnostavampi henkil , haluaisin silti lukea lis Jamiletista.
